The department of endocrinology performs differential diagnostics of carbohydrate metabolism disorders. Patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus undergo correction of insulin therapy, patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus - the selection of oral hypoglycemic therapy, if necessary, transfer to insulin therapy. All patients with diabetes mellitus are trained in diet therapy, self-control and prevention of diabetes mellitus to exclude chronic complications. Complex courses of HBO, infusion and physiotherapy are conducted for the treatment and prevention of diabetic micro and macroangioptia, diabetic polyneuropathy.

The department has all the necessary equipment and uses all the most modern methods of examination and treatment of endocrine disorders:
- laboratory tests (a wide range of clinical, biochemical, bacteriological blood and urine tests);
- determination of the concentration of thyroid hormones, parathyroid glands, sex hormones, pituitary system and adrenal glands in the blood, urine;
- CT scan of the neck, chest, abdomen and retroperitoneal space with contrast;
- ultrasound examination of the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, lymph nodes of the neck, abdominal organs, kidneys, adrenal glands, pelvic organs, mammary glands in women, mammary glands in men, heart;
- puncture biopsy of thyroid nodules

Center benefits
The endocrinology department uses modern methods for correcting basal and lipid metabolism, including using the methods of gravitational blood surgery.
Patients are selected for surgical treatment and preparation for operations on the thyroid and parathyroid glands, performed in the 2nd surgical department.
The department prepares patients with morbid obesity for bariatric surgery and the installation of intragastric balloons.
